I am no longer..
...an office Christmas party-virgin. To be fair it wasn't my office who threw the party, but my friend J's architect firm on King's Road.
It was splendid! There was karaoke, a bunch of crazy architects and various other interesting people, and alcohol and nibbles to last us well after midnight. The party also contained the customary embarrassing performances, drunkenness, snogging and vomiting.
'Our' party was actually so good, that the neighbouring web-design company (or whatever it was the guy said they did..) abandoned their own party to join in. It was the Karaoke, I tell you. We had it all, Abba, Dylan, Abba, Sinatra, Abba.. It even got a bit emotional at the end. Is it just me, or did we sing 'My Way' more than once?
Now I'm quite keen to finish for the day and to go home and have a shower. Didn't manage to go all the way home to Hackney last night, so I'm still in yesterdays work clothing. Lovely. Then it's back on the horse again.. D is having her birthday shabang in Camden tonight. It should be a late one, although this depends on how long D manages stand on her feet... So usually not for that long.
